my monthly-ish update

we all know i'm horrid at updating this. so here we go!
A: my mom thinks i'm mean to guys and that i'll never get married. i say, eh. i don't care. hahaha i enjoy the single life. i am however a spinster to utah standards. and to that i say fuck utah.

B: recently went to viva salt lake city. an awesome concert that had about 6 bands. one of my new favs, whom i met, called the veer union. check em out! they rock! pics included in bottom of post :o)

C: still going to metal gods on thursdays and loving it!! i gotta say: there are perks to going to the same bar every week. sometimes more than once a week. and that is you get in free and make friends with the bouncers. haha! i rarely pay to get in anymore and the bouncers "turn their backs" when i need to pee and the line for the girl's restroom is long. i love liquid joes :o)

D: i know i said i'd post florida pics and didn't. have i already spoken about this?? they're on facebook and myspace.

I: oh ya. read my sister's keeper by jodi picoult. tragic and beautiful. thinking of starting the 3rd eragon aka inheritance cylce book. i've been putting it off b/c i hear it's sad. lol

this is andrea and i at LJ's before i went to florida. this was when my hair had purple in it. this is the darker color i was referring too...i might go back to it. i dunno if i like this cut better or the one i have now. even though they're basically the same. lol and i don't know why i'm going on about this....i does not matter and no one cares. HA!

a mike tyson-like encounter

before i begin my horrifying yet hillareously traumatic adventure story, let me just say that the florida pics are coming. my mom's computer has a HUGE virus on it (my fault....damn limewire!! everyone get rid of it immediately!!) and i cannot post them until her computer has been remedied of the HINI flu (aka: swine flu: H1N1, Hini, get it?? lol). therefore i'm blogging at work (huge no no. but wth. i'm bored. there's nothing to do. blah).

let the story begin:

as you all know, i try to make it to liquid joes every thursday for the metal gods (now known as metal shop). i went last night and here are some observations i've made: once a place of very good looking gatherers to enjoy some rocking 80's hair rock, is now quite empty....club allure i feel is to blame. those bastards. they now have a hair band on thursdays as well known as hair nation. and they trash talk my beloved metal shop. and i feel the emptiness is due to hair nation. are people skipping out on metal shop to see hair nation?? i don't know. but they were never true fans if they're willing to just drift over to another band!! also: as before mentioned, a good looking crowd gathers at liquid joes. usually. however...i've noticed last night quite an aray of fuglies. i couldn't help but point and laugh. i know i'm a bad person. however: if you choose to go in public with a floral print spaghetti strap top, jean short shorts and a pair of very nice 4 inch black heels...you deserve to be made fun of. such nice heels are not to be worn with such attire. slap on a cocktail dress please or don't bother. also. i now get in free!! it DOES pay to go to the same place week after week and make friends with the bass player!! hahahahahaha! i gave him my beloved slap bracelet that i found while browsing thru claires. apparently he does not take it off. new, yet not so new observation: i. am. awesome. hahahaha :o) i laugh but i'm serious. lol

and last but certainly not least, my mike tyson-like encounter:

some drunk deuche bag mawled me!!! literally. i feel sincerely violated. he just came out of nowhere, threw his arms around me, and bit my face! he then continued to "play fight" me. however this play fight was too much for this sir b/c he drank entirely too much. he was truly punching me. i was backing away saying, dude, what are you doing?? and he continued to punch. then! out of nowhere, this asshole throws his arms around me and puts me into a headlock!!!!!!!! while simultaneously giving me a "noogie". now you may be asking yourselves, "for real dani? did this truly happen??" i know i exaggerate friends. but this REALLY happened. REALLY. my good friend cameron had to help pry his arms from around my neck. thank you cameron. you're a wonderful friend. you saved my sorry ass from his kung foo like death grip. what an asshole. who does that????? even drunkenness is no excuse. he just sucks at life. had i been in the proper state of mind, and not so taken aback by this shameful boy's antics, i would have maybe punched him in the stomach to get him off me. however i was in a state of shock the rest of the evening. what a deucher.

anyway....updates! seeing as how i suck at updating this frequently i prob have a few.

A) i now have purple streaks in my hair! ha :o) i'm quite excited about it. it's pretty subtle. they're thin and my hair is a darker brown now, so it's a little hard to see them...next time i get my hair done, they will be thicker and a more visible purple. i was worried to go too overboard b/c of work, but my boss loves my hair! haha so next time i'll have a better job done. or maybe i'll go with turqoise....we shall see.....

B) I'M GOING TO FLORIDA ON WEDNESDAY!!!!!! enough said. you can all be jealous starting now. :o)

C) drunk texts are shameful....i seriously need to lock up my phone before i become under the influence. i apologize to my ex :o) (but i meant what i said....HAHAHA!) ps: AWESOME website about said topic!! Click HERE

D) my birthday was AMAZING!!! i was going to post the pics, but i'm pretty sure everyone on here has myspace/facebook, and they're on there. no need to repeat. but if you're curious lemme know and i can show you somehow.

E) recently read really radical book suggestions: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon (side note on this series, they're hella loooooong!! each book is over 800 pages, single space, like size 9 font! FULL of detail and historical accuracy. it took me like seriously 2 months to read the first one. VERY good series. check it out if you're looking for something to hold out for forever), Stardust by Neil Gaiman (the movie follows quite well...the book is a bit more adult than the movie).

F) men?? eh. who needs em? lol been meeting a lot of hotties in bars. nothing ever goes on for a date or anything. which i'm totally ok with. they're all players. still holding out.

G) good music i've been listening to over and over lately (besides 80's hair rock): Mad World, Bottom of a Bottle by Smile Empty Soul, Feel Good Drag by Anberlin, lots of Hinder and Royal Bliss and Rev Theory and Red and Trapt. i'm thinking i'll update my music with those specific songs. if you like rock-ish, check out the player. there's good stuff in there.

H) my parents sold their house. so i'm moving. haha! they're going to build a brand new house, prob in Riverton. we'll live in an apt til it's built.

I) i'm SUPER addicted to flamin hot funyuns!!!!!! everyone please try. they're magically delicious.

March MADNESS!!

oh man!! i've gone out A LOT recently!! lol and i've had a lot of fun doing it! this post is going to be pictures of my good times. (and trust me, it's not all of them, just the most awesome haha).

my next post will be my AWESOME experience meeting Rachelle LeFevre aka: Victoria, from Twilight. met her when the movie came out at midnight. and it will also include the girly twi-night that i had with my ladies!

but for now....on to my crazy awesome good times!!
